Laura joined Andelyn in March of 2021 as its first General Counsel after Andelyn’s spin-out from Nationwide Children’s Hospital in September 2020.   Laura advises Andelyn’s CEO, executives, leaders, and Board of Directors on all legal issues affecting the Company while also serving as Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer.

Prior to joining Andelyn, Laura served as the Deputy General Counsel of the Abigail Wexner Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH) and was a critical member of the team leading the start-up of Andelyn and the strategic investment transactions.  Prior to joining NCH and Andelyn, Laura acquired expertise in intellectual property, technology and research transactions, research collaborations and partnerships, compliance, employment, and marketing through her service as Associate General Counsel at the University of Pittsburgh; Senior Trademark Counsel at H.J. Heinz Company; and Senior Staff Attorney with the Department of Veterans Affairs.  Laura began her legal career with the U.S. Army JAG Officer serving in Germany and Texas where she rose to the rank of Major.
